Waker Energy is a mineral and oil & gas lease acquisition company founded in Oklahoma City by Brian Kelley, an industry veteran who has spent the majority of his career acquiring multiple types of oil & gas assets throughout basins across the United States.

Brian previously founded Blue Mountain Energy and Blue Mountain Exploration, where he oversaw the acquisition of over $20 million worth of leasehold and minerals and completed successful exits.

The company’s name was inspired by the song “The Waker,” sung from the perspectives of three natural elements: the sun, responsible for waking up the world each day, a tree, representing the sense of security and belonging that can free us to explore and grow, and the blue sky “always searching for something new” and embracing a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world.
